The Axon Chess Academy in SussexTransforming lives through chess, one move at a time
Who are Axon Chess Academy?
Axon Chess Academy was set up to make chess training available to all.
Whether you’re aged 8 or 80, we will help to provide you with the benefits of playing chess.
Although, we are based in the South of England, we provide 1 to 1 coaching to individuals all over the world, not just in the UK.
We provide coaching to individuals and also to classes in schools, both in curriculum time as well as in before and after school chess clubs. Additionally, we offer chess training to community groups such as care homes, scout groups and many others. It’s not just the young who benefit from learning and playing chess.
Axon Chess Academy also works closely with the charity ‘Chess in Schools & Communities’. We provide coaching for CSC in a number of UK primary schools.
Who are CSC?
Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) is a UK charity whose mission is to improve children’s educational outcomes and social development by introducing them to the game of chess. Founded in 2009, they now teach in over 300 schools and support 400 more nationwide. They also organise a world-class tournament, the London Chess Classic, and Yes2Chess, an international tournament for schools.
